Ellen's Australian Adventure: Brisbane

The day I flew to Brisbane from Auckland, Kate Eltham and
Robert Hoge arranged for a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary which bills itself as the first and largest such sanctuary in the world.
There were other animals than koalas. In addition to paying to hold and be photographed with a koala
(pay for one photo, take as many as you like afterwards) we fed kangaroos and wallabies.

The Aurealis Awards were held Saturday night January 22nd.
I'd met some of the Australians attending ten years ago when
